Sarin Gas Attack in Japan
The Sarin gas attack in Japan was an example of a chemical weapon use that broke the UN laws. Two terrorist men spread the gas across the subway. These men were taking the tokyo subway and got off at a specific stop where they ditched the subway and left the sarin gas behind as people were gasping for air. Twelve people died and thousands had to go get treatment. If the treaties and conventions were improved, then this incident wouldn’t have happened and twelve people would still be living. Immediately after this incident, the Japanese policemen went to track the men and treat everybody to the hospital. They found most of the terrorist men, but the leader has not been found. They kept on looking for him and eventually found him in an underground hidden basement. He found him and plans to get nuclear weapons from russia. The chemical weapon convention clearly states in article 1 that they broke the law.” To develop, produce, otherwise acquire, stockpile or retain chemical weapons, or transfer, directly or indirectly, chemical weapons to anyone” This is just one out of a lot of incidents that broke those treaties and conventions.
