The Non-Proliferation Treaty
This treaty is the treaty that theoritcally banned nuclear weapons. This is only the first document of the treaty. This treaty clearly states that the nobody, but the United Nations Securit Council ( United States of America, Russia, China, France, and the UK) is allowed to have them. Although, they are aloud to have those weapons, they are not allowed to use them in violence or testing. Only for fear and power reasons. By having these weapons, they will come to power because countries will not want to mess with people with nuclear weapons. The signing of this treaty was open in 1968 and was inforced in 1970. A total of 190 countries signed the treaty, including the United Nations security council.
